A new constituency-level poll by WeThinkPolling / Omnisis shows voters in Bristol Central are backing the Green Party’s Carla Denyer over the Labour Incumbent, Thangam Debbonaire, by 49% to 40%. This comes hot on the heels of two constituency-level polls showing the Green Party on course to win Waveney Valley and North Herefordshire, sparking our prediction that the Greens will win at least four seats at the general election.

In even more damning news for Debbonaire, who is currently set to be the culture secretary in Keir Starmer’s post-election cabinet, when presented with a simplified two-horse race between the Greens in Bristol Central voters opted 68% – 32% in favour of the Green Party against Labour.

Whatever the outcome of the election for the major parties on Thursday, it seems clear that the Greens are set to have a surprisingly good night defying national polling and various MRP projections.
